english brizzy!

brunch at the breslin is dopeboymadness and their full english breakfast is off the chain {check the photo above}.  if you can't make it to the ressie though don't worry, i got chu cuz!  all you need is bacon, pre-birds {eggs}, "snausages", tomatoes, mushrooms and maybe beans but getting gassy from breakfast is not a good look so we hit pause on that one.  ya feel me?  take a look, i bet if i didn't say anything you wouldn't know which plate is from the breslin and which is from your boy. i'm not gonna front, i kind of overdid it with the eggs but i still smanged it.  unstoppable b!

6 foot 7 foot banana bread! {with vanilla granola}

innie made banana bread and as always it was off the chain.  it takes only 15 minutes to prepare and after baking for about 1 hour 20 minutes you can easily serve 16+ {aka angelina jolie and antonio cromartie kids combined}.  believe me, you are out of your mind if you skip on this america.  all you need are three to four ripe bananas and follow the rest below:

beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer set at medium speed until light and fluffy.  add granulated sugar and brown sugar - beat well {...and listen to some beats, i recommend the lil' wayne banger embedded above}.  add egg, egg whites and vanilla.  beat until well blended.  add mashed banana, and beat on high speed 30 seconds.
combine flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder in medium bowl.  add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with cream, ending with flour mixture.  add half a cup of vanilla granola to the batter {i prefer the whole foods brand but do you}.  mix well.

pour batter evenly into prepared loaf pan.  bake until browned and a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean, about 1 hour 20 minutes.

like tunechi says, "young money eating, all you haters do is add salt"!

let that BOY COOK!!!!

my entire fam is fresh off da boat but that doesn't stop us from getting our full belly swag during thanksgiving.  in fact, we decided to embrace america and got our semi-homemade on, so yours truly bought some jacques torres mudslide cookies, a nebuchadnezzar of vanilla häagen-dazs and made the wifey an ice cream sammie.  she never had one, ever, so we had to change that quick fast cuz that sh!t is CRAY!

i popped the "buns" in the microwave for 15 seconds, scooped out the ice-cream and spladow!!! that's right...i showed sandra lee what's hot in da streets! come at me gurl!

thanksgiving son!

i'm way overdue with shots from thanksgiving.  this years turkey was more like an oversized chicken (approx. 8.5 lbs) but it was perfect for the small number of guests.  i made a simple brine with rosemary, thyme, garlic, sage, madagascar black peppercorns, and salt (of course). 24 hours later i rubbed the young turk down with butter, garlic, and parsley then stuffed some carrots, half a lemon, and fuji apples inside.   enjoy the photos and i'll be back with more pronto...if you don't believe me i can't be mad at ya, the troof is in da proof!

free harry potter tickets, where da recipes at?

seriously.  where are the recipes?  is everyone passed out on four loko?  the deadline has been pushed back to noon EST 11/17.  submit your dopesaucemadnessfillmytummy recipe in the comments section so that we can have a real competition.  the winner will get two tickets to see the movie at 6pm in midtown east nyc on 11/18, the day before it is released to the general public.

appetite, i has it!

"i like the best...but i also like savings the money" so your boy went euro trippin' in astoria queens.  specifically, a balkan/ruski/slavic mashup mega mart that holds everything from cured meats and cheese to your favorite chocolate and pickled cabbage...say what!!!  "oppulence, i has it" is nowhere to be found here.  in fact, euro market has more in common with the hong kong market than it does with the single country focused but european nonetheless blingy bling blang fest at eataly.  it's like walking into a supersized european bodega.  once you get inside euro music videos are playing at club level volume. just what i like, mo' bass and techno snare while i'm strolling in aisle 3 for eurocreme candy bars.  but enough of what i have to say, let's have a look shall we.
